Learn to understand, analyse and influence fundamental molecular processes in our world

 Chemistry er et fag, du l?ser som en del af din bacheloruddannelse p? RUC. 

To understand chemistry is to understand our world at a molecular level. In Chemistry, we work with the properties, composition, and structure of atoms and molecules, the transformations they undergo, and the energy that is released or absorbed during these processes.

At the bachelor programme in Chemistry, you will acquire solid skills in organic, physical, analytical, and inorganic chemistry and biochemistry. We have a focus on chemical biology and sustainable chemistry, and we engage in research into green chemistry and energy, molecules of medicinal and biological interest, biophysical and protein chemistry, enzyme catalysis, and chemical characterisation.

Through these activities you will receive training in fundamental and cutting-edge theory, combined with modern practical laboratory techniques and skills.

As a student, you will participate in research from day one. The projects are designed to solve problems relevant to both you as a student, to the scientific research at Roskilde University and to society as a whole. Through your research, you will learn to see new perspectives, to identify problems and inconsistencies and to find new and better solutions.

All teaching and project writing is conducted in English.

Du vil blive del af et engageret og uformelt milj? med t?t kontakt mellem studerende og undervisere. Vi har gode laboratoriefaciliteter, hvor vi m?des om f?lles forskning og l?ring, og en gang om m?neden holder vi en f?lles frokost med et fagligt opl?g. Projekt- og l?segrupper er ogs? vigtig del af studiemilj?et, og grupperne m?des ikke kun om det faglige, men arrangerer ofte ogs? middage og arbejdsweekender. 

Du vil m?de b?de danske og internationale studerende, s? der er altid inspiration at hente og nogen af f?lges med til fredagsbaren. Alt i alt kan man sige, at vi har god kemi p? studiet.
