Guest students enrolled at another university in Denmark
You can study up to half a bachelor (90 ECTS) or up to half a master (60 ECTS) education as a guest student.
When you are enrolled you have the same privileges as an ordinary student except you have two exam attempts only. The two attempts must be used during the period you are enrolled.
You will not receive SU from Roskilde University as a guest student. You will receive SU from the educational institution you are enrolled in.
How to apply
Find the courses and projects that you are interested in, in our catalogue of course programs on Study.ruc.dk. Please note that not all courses are offered in both spring and autumn. In that case, the appliance dates depend on which module you apply to, and when the module begins.
You can choose a course package from a single subject if you wish to study a full semester (30 ECTS). You will benefit from no overlap in lectures and exams, and project and courses within each package work together in order to give you more than each activity gives on its own. See semester packages here.
You apply via the digital application system DANS through the links provided under the relevant menu item (depending on you having a preapproval or not) at the bottom of the page. There you will also find the application deadlines and other relevant information.
Applications for the autumn semester is open from the April 14. Study.ruc.dk will be fully updated from June 1.
Applications for spring semester is open from the November 1. Study.ruc.dk will be fully updated from December 1.
Respect the deadlines
It is very important that you meet the deadlines, even if you do not have the preapproval for the courses. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. You will only be able to request for exemption from the deadline based on documented illness or other external exceptional circumstances. The following circumstances will in general not give grounds for exemption, because they are not considered “special”: ignorance of the deadline, the possibility/the desire to be a guest student occurred after the deadline, uncertainty regarding course offers.
Summer school
Applicants for summer school has to apply separately via our site about summer schools.
