Need a sharp analysis and solid facts about the upcoming elections? Ask the RSG researchers
On 7 May, Prime Minister Lars L?kke Rasmussen announced that the Danish people will choose their next government on 5 June, Danish Constitution Day. The parliamentary election will take place only 10 days after the election for the European Parliament on 26 May.
The announcement had been long awaited, and all media outlets immediately went into a frenzy trying to convince the Danish people that they had exactly the information needed to decide who to vote for.
We are, however, at a time when we have seen examples of fake news flourishing on Facebook during other countries’ election campaigns, and at a time when everyone can post whatever they like, whenever they like on their preferred social media platform. It is important that both the media and everyone else take time to make sure that they stand by facts rather than rumors.
At Roskilde School of Governance, we know what we are talking about. We offer insightful analysis of societal trends, public policies and global as well as local developments based on substantiated and thorough research.
So if you are a journalist looking for valid information to bring to your readers, or if you need an expert opinion to inform your institution’s approach to the elections, the below list of researchers might serve as a good place to start:
