New perspectives on business challenges
At Roskilde University, we are educating people who can and will contribute towards advancing our society.
Our almost 9,000 students are spread across study programmes ranging from bachelor degrees to the PhD level within the areas: humanities, natural sciences, social sciences and humanities & technology. The academic and professional skills cover a lot of ground, and all of the students work via a project-oriented approach to solve concrete issues in practice through the application of their chosen subject’s theories and methods.
Whether you as a company are participating in the education, hiring interns or working with project groups, you will be encountering students who think in a critical and interdisciplinary manner - and at the same time, who work in a solution-oriented and pragmatic way with the challenges specific to your organisation.
Project management skills and interdisciplinary collaboration is the common denominator for all graduates of Roskilde University, based on the notion that the problems of ‘the real world’ cannot be solved in isolation by individual academic and professional areas. In addition, the graduates have subject-specific competences and areas of knowledge that are tied to their specific study programme. Thus, whether your company’s challenges are related to communications, business development, chemical processes, HR, user surveys, technology, CSR or other and more interdisciplinary issues, you can find the competences to work with them among our students.
Roskilde University has four interdisciplinary departments that are all responsible for a number of study programmes:
